Medit i500 3D Scanner

The Medit i500 3D Scanner system is now powderless and allows for a smooth and seamless scanning process. The Medit i500 3D Scanner is incredibly fast and efficient. Once the scan is complete, there is less wait time for treatment turnaround. Productivity is increased as well as overall patient wait time, so the treatment plan can be well on it's way as quick as a flash.

Distilled Water
Distilled Water

Instead of using tap water, our office uses distilled water to protect our patients from germs and contamination.

The i-CAT 3-D dental scan system is well in advance of any x-ray system. The i-CAT provides 3-D images of the teeth, jaw, sinuses and skull structure in 1/20th of a second with significantly less radiation than a medical CT scan.

The 3-D scans from the i-CAT provide anatomically accurate data and surgical predictability for:
- Implant placement
- Impactions
- TMJ analysis
- Airway assessments
- Panoramics
- Cephalometrics
- Orthodontics
- Orthognathic surgery

Digital X-Rays
Digital X-Rays

Our office uses the latest in digital x-ray technology. Digital x-rays offer a detailed image of your entire mouth and also deliver 90% less radiation than traditional film x-rays. X-rays play an invaluable role in the diagnosis of periodontal problems as well as provide a clear picture for Dr. Kim to accurately diagnose the problem and provide clear treatment regiments.

We place a small sensor in your mouth and then an x-ray beam is sent through your teeth and bone and onto the sensor, which records the image of your teeth and bone and sends it to the computer. The sensor can then be repositioned to capture images of other sections of your teeth and bones. The digital dental x-ray system is more sensitive than dental x-ray film systems so your exposure to x-rays is cut by 90%.

The large enhanced images that you see are what Dr. Kim sees, so it is easier for you to understand how they will treat your teeth and bones. Your periodontal checkups take less time and it is fun to watch the system work. Most patients are amazed.

Intra-Oral Camera

We provide our patients with an intra-oral video examination. This allows both the doctor and the patient to see the condition of the mouth at the same time, then discuss treatment options.

Pharyngometer is non-invasive and only takes a few minutes. The patient sits upright and places the pharyngometer in their mouth. The patient then moves their jaw backward and forward, while sound waves measure airway volume. This locates the most unstable and narrow portions of the airway. This procedure allows for a precise fitting of an oral appliance for treatment. The pharyngometer is used to measure the best jaw position for maintaining an open and stable airway.

The rhinometer gathers information using acoustic reflection. Sound waves are sent up the nasal passageway and are reflected back to accurately map out the topography of the nasal airway. This allows clear identification of the location and severity of any obstruction in the airway. The test is completely non-invasive and takes 30 seconds to complete.
